Financial media company MarketBeat recently surveyed 3,104 individuals across the U.S. to uncover the Most Inspiring Small Businesses of 2025. Among these companies, all of which rebuilt following a disaster, was Verona’s Wisconsin Brewing Co. (WBC), which was ranked among the top 50.
Coming in at No. 49 nationwide, the brewery saw its production floor flooded in June 2018, which toppled tanks and halted its operations. With help from both employees and competitors, WBC reopened its taproom just six weeks later. A “Flood Survivors” party marked the occasion. With new equipment and a flood barrier system, WBC rebounded and expanded.
