Get ready for more golf in Wisconsin. Already boasting a PGA Championship, a U.S. Open, and a Ryder Cup over the next five years, the Badger state just added a senior tour event, according to a report in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

American Family Insurance signed a three-year contract with the PGA Tour to become the title sponsor of a new Champions Tour event debuting in 2016. Edgerton native and PGA golfer Steve Stricker will serve as host.

The inaugural American Family Insurance Championship will be held June 22–26 at University Ridge Golf Course in Madison.

The 81-player field of senior tour golfers will vie for a $2 million prize, with proceeds benefiting the Steve Stricker American Family Insurance Foundation and the American Family Children’s Hospital.

Stricker himself won’t be eligible to play in the event in 2016 because he won’t meet the minimum age requirement for Champions Tour eligibility — 50 — until Feb. 23, 2017.
