The annual America’s Health Rankings Senior Report from United Health Foundation finds Wisconsin ranked No. 7 in the country for senior health.

Vermont is the healthiest, according to the study, but Wisconsin scored well for the high percentage of dental visits, low percentage of food insecurity, and low prevalence of falls. Obesity continues to be a challenge, as is low prescription drug coverage and low flu vaccination coverage.

Vermont took the top spot, followed by New Hampshire, Minnesota, Hawaii, Utah, and Massachusetts. The bottom-five included Oklahoma (46), Arkansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Louisiana (50), the least healthy state for seniors.
