Windsor, DeForest program awards grants to 12 local businesses

Windsor and DeForest’s inaugural Small Business Grant Program is awarding grants to 12 businesses located in those municipalities, according to The Star.

The grant awardees include the following Windsor recipients:

  • Branch and Daughter;

  • MUZA;

    Advertisement
  • Super8 Motel on Lake Circle;

  • Frog Manor; and

  • Design Custom Homes.

Awardees in DeForest include:

  • Woolly’s Snack Hut;

  • Ultimate Leap Dance Center;

  • DC Imprints;

  • The Landmark;

    Advertisement
  • Wishing Well Preschool;

  • Amy Anderson Chiropractic; and

  • Beans and Cream.

The grant program’s $250,000 in WEDC-provided funding was awarded in its entirety and, according to the Wisconsin Economic Development Association, the grants are leveraging a total of $815,000 in local investment.

The initiative has received statewide recognition and was nominated by WEDA for a Community Development Award in the category of Business Retention and Expansion.
