Cliff Simmons plans to open Willy Street Eats this Thursday, March 16, in the former Lao Laan-Xang space on Williamson Street just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report.

The new restaurant, which will normally offer comfort food, will serve a menu including corned beef and cabbage this weekend. Willy Street Eats will initially be open for lunch and dinner, with the addition of breakfast and a fuller menu planned for a grand opening the second week of April.

Simmons also owns Emery and Eloise’s Comfort Food, a food truck named after his grandfather and grandmother, which he plans to rename after Willy Street Eats and use in conjunction with the restaurant for catering and weekend events.
