The Willy Street Co-op, which expanded into Middleton in 2011, has formed a committee to consider adding a third location to help relieve the pressure from the flagship location on Williamson Street in Madison. The co-op’s 24,000 members already approved $2 million in funding but will be asked to approve another $2 million to upgrade the 9,500-sq.-ft. Willy Street store, its busiest by far with about 15,000 transactions a week. The cost of building a third, 10,000-sq.-ft. store would reportedly run between $4 million and $6 million.
