Willy Street Co-op’s flagship store on Williamson Street could bring back beer, wine, and hard cider if it gets its way, according to a Wisconsin State Journal article.

The city’s Alcohol License Review Committee will consider the store’s request on Aug. 17.

While the other two co-op locations sell beer and wine, the Williamson Street location stopped in the 1990s to allow for more dairy items but it now wants back in. Apparently, store sales have been “stagnant,” and beer and wine (not liquor) sales could increase store sales by $400,000 to $600,000 annually.
