A proposal to redesign Willow Creek near the UW–Madison campus is focused on recreation and stormwater management, according to a report by the Wisconsin State Journal. The plan calls for adding two permanent pedestrians bridges and five clearings with seating as stopping points for kayakers and canoers to increase the recreational use of the area. Other improvements include stopping sediment at the source for better storm-water management. The project would also widen the north end of Willow Creek, which is currently sediment-filled and overgrown.
