The Wisconsin Hotel & Lodging Association (WHLA) presented its first-ever “Key to Hospitality” awards to Gov. Tony Evers, Sen. Joan Ballweg, and Rep. Joel Kitchens in recognition of their significant contributions to Wisconsin’s tourism economy.
Over the past several years, that industry support has included approximately $95 million in COVID relief grants to help hotel and lodging facilities stay open, record funding for the Wisconsin Department of Tourism, and the repeal of Wisconsin’s Personal Property Tax law, which targeted hotel and lodging facilities.
