Atlanta developer Westwood Development has reportedly been in discussions with the city of Madison to build a four-building, 250 market-rate apartment complex that would encircle a two-story parking garage in the 700 block of East Mifflin Street. The two-phase, $50 million project could break ground in early 2013 and open in the summer of 2014. The site is currently owned by Reynolds Transfer & Storage Co. and is used as a parking lot for cranes and other equipment. The second phase could include a site across the street.
