Citing reduced demand from Canadian oil sands projects, Weir Minerals, a global mining equipment maker, cut 20 employees from its Madison office and another two positions elsewhere. The cuts reportedly affected six of the company’s seven divisions, including two vice presidents. About 250 employees work at the company’s North American headquarters on South Stoughton Road in Madison.
