The Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. is looking for companies interested in going on a trade mission to South Africa from March 6-15. The goal of the mission, according to a release, is to assist small and medium-sized companies from the Great Lakes region in exporting products and services to South Africa. The trip, hosted by the Council of Great Lakes Governors, will focus on sectors including automotive parts and line technology; agricultural equipment and processing machinery; construction, medical, and mining equipment; power generation and supply; and engineering and consultancy services. Wisconsin’s exports to South Africa totaled $226 million in 2011, an increase of 43.9% over 2010.
