The Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. (WEDC) announced it will give a $250,000 grant to a new development in downtown Sun Prairie, the site of an explosion more than three years ago. The grant will be used for a three-story, multiuse development including 10 apartments and a Glass Nickel Pizza restaurant at 410. E. Main St. Several buildings were destroyed and a Sun Prairie firefighter was killed when a ruptured gas line caused the explosion in 2018. The project is expected to be completed by the middle of 2022.
