Wealth Literacy Conference to host sessions for adults, high school students

The Melanin Project will host a Wealth Literacy Conference on April 26 at The Lighthouse at TruStage on Madison’s west side, Madison365 reports. For the first time ever, the conference will be open to high school students, with the theme, Legacy: The Power of Present Choices.

The organization CLIMB USA will provide education about the stock market, and nonprofit CEOs of Tomorrow will discuss entrepreneurship. Summit Credit Union will also be at the conference, focusing on personal finance.

A number of other sessions are planned for adult attendees, and Willie Smith, the executive director of Northwest Side Community Development Corp., will deliver a keynote speech. Opal Ellyse Tomashevska, the director of multicultural business strategy at TruStage, will serve as the event’s master of ceremonies.
