More than 200 educators, community leaders and supporters attended the WEA Member Benefits Foundation Inc.’s third annual Swing For a Cause golf outing on Aug. 4. The event raised $45,000 to support school-based mental health programs in Wisconsin public schools.
The outing included 125 golfers and concluded with a dinner and program highlighting the impact of the Foundation’s work and celebrating student art.
Amy Ma, an incoming freshman at Middleton High School, was named the winner of the Foundation’s annual student art contest and received the Loeymae Lange “Best in Class” award. The award includes a $1,500 cash prize.
