The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra (WCO) announced the official release of its album, “Harmony in Black.”

“Harmony in Black” is the first album of the five-year, five-album Musical Landscapes in Color project. Falling under the new Composer Collective series, this initiative aims to elevate the voices of an array of living, diverse composers throughout the U.S.

Performed and recorded live on Friday, Oct. 13, 2023, it features three compositions: one by four-time Grammy nominee Patrice Rushen, titled “Mine Eyes Have Seen The Glory,” and two by renowned composer and WCO Composer in Residence Dr. William C. Banfield, titled “Testimony of Tone, Tune, and Time” and “Symphony No. 8: Here I Stand.”

The album is available in both physical format online and for digital streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and YouTube.
