The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra (WC) announced that due to the wildfires in California, guest soloist Anne Akiko Meyers has canceled her Jan. 24 Madison performance. The concert program will instead feature violinist Giora Schmidt, performing Édouard Lalo’s Symphonie Espagnole.
The concert, which beginns at 7:30 p.m., represents the second performance of WCO’s Masterworks season. This is Schmidt’s third time performing with WCO. She last performed in 2020.
