SARATOGA — Town leaders overstepped their authority in an effort to block a proposed large-scale dairy operation, according to court documents related to a company’s lawsuit against the town.
On Friday, Golden Sands Dairy, part of the Wysocki Family of Companies, filed a civil case against Saratoga and the Town Board in connection with the town’s moratorium on building permits that do not comply with the current use of the property included in the permit. On July 26, the company filed a civil case against the town’s building inspector, Lorelei Fuehrer, asking the court to order Fuehrer to issue the building permits.
