The Waunakee Farmers Market will open for its 2024 season in a new space, according to the Waunakee Tribune. The new Waunakee Farmers and Makers Market will offer produce, flowers, canned food, baked goods, meat, fish, artwork, and handcrafted items, setting up around the Waunakee Depot in the village’s historic business district.
The new location makes use of the recently-improved Reeve Park, which surrounds the depot. The park underwent a revitalization with a $50,000 Vibrant Spaces grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. aimed at solidifying it as a central public gathering place.
The market will kick off May 8 and run 3–6 p.m. every Wednesday for 24 weeks. In addition to vendors and makers, the market will be open to representatives from Waunakee High School clubs, booster clubs, and nonprofits.
