Daybreak Foods reported a wastewater spill of 3,000 to 4,200 gallons at its Cold Spring Egg Farm in Jefferson County, which has also been experiencing outbreaks of bird flu, Wisconsin Public Radio reported.

The spill was first reported by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources when it was notified via a complaint.

The spill happened on Feb. 27.

Daybreak Foods is one of the nation’s largest egg producers. So far, it has had to kill millions of birds due to bird flu.
