As tech stocks sink, so too does the U.S. stock market as it dips near its worst low in three weeks on Friday.
The Associated Press reported the S&P 500 fell 0.9% from its all-time high set on Thursday and was dipping toward its worst day in three weeks. Tech stock drops also saw the Nasdaq Composite down to 23,229 as of 1:55 p.m. Central Standard Time.
The Dow Jones set a record on Thursday but has since dropped to 48,502.
Computer chip company Broadcom tumbled 11% despite a stronger quarter than anticipated. Investors are concerned about financial forecasts for the AI company, according to the AP.
Oracle had previously plummeted 11% this week before losing another 3.4% on Friday. And Nvidia fell 1.9%, continuing a trend of AI companies seeing decreases across the board.
