Gov. Scott Walker has appointed five small business representatives from throughout the state to the newly created Small Business Regulatory Review Board.
Members of the board, who will be asked to review new regulations for their impact on job creation, and review existing regulations that might be hindering job growth, include:
Steve Davis, co-owner of Ardy & Ed’s Drive-In, Oshkoksh; Erich Korth, vice president of Transport Repair Specialists Inc., New London; Thomas Wulf, president/CEO of Wulf Bros. Inc., Sturgeon Bay; Jim Ring, president and CEO of Park Towne Development Corp., Madison; and Kimberly Vele, owner of Konkapot Lodge, Bowler.
Walker, who plans to reference the board in tonight’s “State of the State” address, said members will have the authority to review every rule in all state agencies and would work to remove antiquated and unnecessary regulations that “pose a threat to creating new jobs.”
