Gov. Scott Walker has asked the state legislature to approve $6.8 million for a targeted campaign to battle a worker shortage and attract veterans, young professionals, and University of Wisconsin alumni to live and work in Wisconsin.

According to reports, $3 million of the proposed funds would expand an already planned marketing campaign from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. in Chicago, Minneapolis, and Detroit, with the additional $3.8 used to fund a mobile jobs center and traveling job fair booth.
