Walgreens to close 200 stores

Walgreens has announced plans to close 200 stores across the country in a cost-cutting move. The announcement follows the drug store chain’s December merger with European health and beauty retailer Alliance Boots GmbH. The combined company, Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc., is hoping to reduce costs by $1.5 billion over the next three years. There is no word yet on which stores will be affected.
