As the deadline for Bikes for Kids Wisconsin’s first bike giveaway event of the year draws near, the organization is seeking volunteers to assist with refurbishing more than 750 bikes in just eight weeks. The organization expects to give away a total of 1,500 bikes in April and May.
To make the event a success, Bikes for Kids Wisconsin is asking for 150 volunteers to lend a hand on April 27, May 4, and May 11. In addition to helping refurbish bikes, volunteers are also needed to assist with checking people in, guiding recipients through bike shopping, or providing translation services.
No experience is needed and kids 10-plus are welcome with an adult. Click here to view the volunteer calendar and sign up. The maximum number of volunteers is around 12 people at one time.
