The University Avenue Holiday Lights will return on Nov. 17 this year. The annual tradition, started in 1996 by Dr. Jack Kammer and continued by his son, Chris Kammer, promotes inclusivity and a festive spirit.
At least 50 more volunteers and donations are needed for this year’s event. Organizers Dr. Chris Kammer and the Kammer Family Foundation are asking for volunteers to help string the lights on Saturday, Nov. 4 at University Avenue along 2719 Marshall Court and University Bay Drive.
Volunteers are needed from 9 a.m. to noon; those interested can contact Dr. Chris Kammer at 608-347-4045 or click here. Donations can be made on the University Avenue Holiday Lights website or by clicking here.
Family and friends are welcome, and coffee and donuts will be provided. Ladders are also needed. Eye protection and gloves are suggested.
