In Business hosted its fourth and final virtual Icons in Business event of the year on Dec. 10 featuring Sarah Rasmusen, chief customer officer, Lands’ End.

Launched as a mail-order operation for yachting gear in 1963‚ Lands’ End grew to become a million-dollar business by 1977. Its success was fueled by customer-service initiatives such as a generous returns policy, a catalog with engaging stories, and models who looked like real people.

Today, Sarah Rasmusen is responsible for leading customer experiences. During the virtual presentation, she shared insight into the opportunities and challenges facing Lands’ End, along with some of the ways the company focuses on the priorities in its customers’ lives that lead to business growth.
