In Business hosted its second virtual Icons in Business event of the year on June 23 featuring Jeff Keebler, chairman, president, and CEO of Madison Gas and Electric.
Dating back to 1896, MGE has grown from serving a population of just 17,000 residents to generating and distributing electricity to 155,000 customers in Dane County, purchasing and distributing natural gas to 163,000 customers in south-central and western Wisconsin, and setting its sights on an ambitious goal of net-zero carbon by 2050.
During the virtual presentation, Keebler shared more about the organization’s history, the challenges it faces, and the opportunities renewable energy presents.
