After being involved in a car accident that left her with 14 breaks in her arm, state Sen. Kathleen Vinehout (D-Alma) has decided not to pursue a run for governor in 2014. Vinehout’s decision helps clear the way for Madison School Board member, former state Commerce secretary, and Trek Bicycle executive Mary Burke, who is currently the only Democrat in the race.
