The village of Oregon is partnering with Green Box Compost, offering residents reduced rate curbside composting for one year, according to WMTV15. The partnership will help Oregon’s Sustainability Committee to achieve the goals it set in July 2023 to bring composting services to village residents.
Composting helps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, enrich soil health, and divert organic waste from landfills.
The first 100 Oregon residents to sign up will be eligible to receive Green Box services at half the company’s usual rate. To sign up or learn more, click here.
