A new video game lounge, The Guild, will open at 668 State St. this summer, according to the Wisconsin State Journal. Co-owner Jin Lee said the 5,000-square-foot space already has two employees, and the business plans to hire six additional staff members once it opens. It is also co-owned by Sonia Tan.
The lounge will house 40–50 gaming computers, as well as gaming console stations featuring consoles like PlayStation, Xbox, the Nintendo Switch, and retro options like Atari by request.
The Guild will have a library with a variety of games, a bar offering alcoholic beverages, a snack menu, and a private room for virtual reality games. The lounge also intends to partner with local artists to design custom game-related T-shirts it will sell.
