VETransfer to invest in accelerator that helps veteran startups

In partnership with VETransfer and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp., VictorySpark will launch the first mentor-driven seed accelerator focused on innovative veteran-initiated startups. The accelerator, which will address a lack of seed funding for veteran entrepreneurs, will be based in Milwaukee.

WEDC is providing a $300,000 grant to VETransfer to invest in the VictorySpark accelerator program. “Innovative startups have the greatest potential to create large numbers of jobs and economic growth, so we created VictorySpark to focus on these startups,” stated Nick Wichert, co-founder of VETransfer and VictorySpark.

VictorySpark also has joined forces with the Global Accelerator Network, a network of high-quality seed accelerators, to give participants access to a large global network of resources, mentors and investors.
