The Verona Ice Arena is hosting a grand opening of its new rink this Friday, March 8, according to the Verona Press. Nonprofit I.C.E., which owns and operates Verona Ice Arena, has worked to bring a second ice rink to the community since 2021.
The expansion of the arena is complete thanks to contributions of multiple businesses, organizations, government entities, families, and individuals. The new ice rink is located directly south of the original building, is ADA accessible, and includes additional community space.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on Friday at 3 p.m., followed by open tours of the building and skating from 3:30–6 p.m.
