Vehicle sales continue upward trend

Area car and truck dealerships continue to report increases in sales, according to Reg-Trak of Waterloo, Wis. In November, 3,140 new vehicles were purchased in the nine-county south central Wisconsin region, compared with 2,868 a year earlier, an increase of 9.48%. Year-to-date through November, auto and truck sales were up nearly 14.5% in the region. In Dane County, November sales resulted in an 11.75% increase over the prior November, and a 15.74% increase year-to-date compared to 2011.
