UW–Madison is holding its annual homecoming blood drive, which began Tuesday, through this Thursday, Oct. 24, at the Nicholas Recreational Center, WMTV15 reports. It is part of the larger “We Give Blood Drive” and will run until 5 p.m. today and from 11 a.m.–5 p.m. tomorrow.

The “We Give Blood Drive” hosted by Abbott and the Big Ten is a nationwide competition that ends Dec. 6 and pits all 18 Big Ten schools against one another to see which can drive the most blood donations from staff, students, alumni, athletes, and fans this football season.

The winning Big Ten school will receive $1 million to advance student or community health. The winner will be announced on Dec. 7 at the 2024 Big Ten Championship Game.

Additionally, those who donate blood now–Dec. 6 will get a free one-month subscription to B1G+ and be entered for a chance to win a trip for two to the championship game.
