UW–Madison to Harley-Davidson ranked Wisconsin young adults’ No. 1 education-employment combo

Career guidance and success platform career.io conducted a nationwide survey of 3,018 young adults aged 18–25, posing two questions:

  • Which university would you most want listed on your resume as your alma mater; and

  • Which company would you ideally want as your first employer to launch your career?

The goal was to uncover the ultimate combinations of education and employment that young people in the U.S. believe pave the way for the most lucrative and rewarding careers. The findings revealed the following preferred education and employment combinations among Wisconsinites:

  • Ranking No. 1 was the University of Wisconsin–Madison to Harley-Davidson;

  • Marquette University to Kohl’s ranked No. 2; and

  • Lawrence University to Epic Systems ranked No. 3.
