A UW–Madison student entrepreneurship team will compete in a Shark Tank-style competition in the Twin Cities, WMTV15 reports. It will face off with 24 other teams from nationwide colleges at e-Fest, an undergraduate entrepreneurship competition, on Saturday, April 20.
The team with the winning invention will be awarded $50,000 to launch its product in the marketplace. The UW–Madison startup, SideShift, is a social media-inspired tool aimed at making it easier for small businesses to hire college students.
The three-day event will include multiple competitions. $215,000 is awarded across all contests.
