A $22 million music performance building has been proposed for the corner of University Avenue and Lake Street, next to the Chazen Museum of Art. When completed, the proposed new hall would have a glass-walled lobby and include a 325-seat recital hall, rehearsal space, and a 737-seat concert hall. Phase I of the two-phase project is being funded entirely by anonymous donors. The second phase, which includes the concert hall, is not yet funded. Construction would begin in late 2015 and be completed in the spring of 2017.
