Interim UW System President Tommy Thompson announced a federallyfunded testing plan to provide 250,000 COVID-19 tests at on-campus sites as early as this week.
The plan makes use of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ distribution of 15 million BinaxNOW tests to areas with high rates of COVID-19. The tests will be offered at all 26 UW System campuses and are expected to last about five weeks. The tests provide results within 15 minutes.
