The UW Board of Regents is considering a policy to allow for campuses to offer reduced-credit or three-year bachelor’s degree programs, the Wisconsin State Journal reported.

The UW Board of Regents reviewed revisions to a policy tied to the change on Friday. A change would allow universities to develop reduced-credit degrees that usually require 90 credits to complete instead of 120.

Mount Mary University in Milwaukee is the only four-year university in Wisconsin to offer reduced-credit degrees, launching them in January.

A vote will be made on the policy at a future board meeting.
