Joel Baraka, a fourth-year University of Wisconsin–Madison student, has started the company My HOME Stars and created a board game to help children in Uganda learn in an engaging way, according to a story from the Wisconsin State Journal. The educational board game, The 5 STA-Z, follows the curriculum of Ugandan schools and is designed to be more fun than simple flashcards.

My HOME Stars has produced about 200 game sets and raised more than $11,000 on GoFundMe to cover some business expenses. The games have been given to two primary schools in the Kyangwali Refugee Settlement in Uganda and feedback from those schools will be used to make further improvements to the game.
