The University of Wisconsin–Madison Center for Research on the Wisconsin Economy (CROWE) estimates the unemployment rate in Wisconsin was 22.7% on May 21, according to Director Noah Williams in a Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce presentation.
The number is based on day-by-day tracking done by CROWE. Its data also placed April’s unemployment rate at over 16% rather than 14.1%, as reported by the state.
