Nearly three years after closing in-person instruction at its Richland Center campus, the University of Wisconsin-Platteville is shuttering its Baraboo Sauk County campus due to declining enrollment, according to a Wisconsin Public Radio report.
The campus will close on May 22, 2026.
The Baraboo Sauk County campus mostly offers associate degrees and one bachelor’s degree. Last year, the Sauk County Board of Supervisors voted to spend $390,000 on campus maintenance.
There are no plans for what the campus may be used for next.
Other two-year Universities of Wisconsin campuses to close include Waukesha, and in-person classes ended at Washington County, Marinette County and Fond du Lac campuses.
