UW, One City Schools sign contract for charter expansion

One City Schools has signed a contract with the University of Wisconsin System to expand the charter school through the 12th grade, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. One City Schools, headquartered at 707 W. Broadway on the south side of Madison, is currently serving students in grades 4K–4 in a new facility purchased through a $14 million donation from Pleasant Rowland. The school is planning to build a full K–12 charter school with an enrollment of nearly 1,000 students on the campus of WPS Health Solutions in Monona. The first high school graduating class is projected for 2025.
