Plans for a vacant building to be demolished on the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s west side of campus are moving along, the Wisconsin State Journal reports.
The UW Board of Regents approved the move on Wednesday to demolish a vacant building at 1800 University Ave. to construct more parking spots.
The building was once a Poultry Department facility, with the Wisconsin Stock Breeders, entomology and computer science departments all using it at one point as well.
The lot is roughly 96,500 square feet. It will be remade into faculty and staff parking, as well as green space and cost about $416,000.
