Far-east side Madison’s American Center Business Park will welcome UW Health’s Eastpark Medical Center, officially opening for patients this month after over two years of construction, the Wisconsin State Journal reports.
Starting Oct. 28, the seven story, $465 million clinic will offer a variety of services, with a particular focus on cancer treatments and women’s specialty care. The clinic will aim to meet rising demand for Medical care in the Madison area and attract statewide patients for services like proton therapy — a precise type of radiation therapy currently not available in Wisconsin — and other cancer treatments. It will also offer clinical trials and a 73-chair infusion center for chemotherapy and more.
Women’s specialty care will cover treatments for pelvic floor disorders, gynecologic cancer, incontinence, and sexual health concerns. Additional Eastpark specialties will include allergy, dermatology, neurology, pain management, and physical and occupational therapy. It will also have a drive-up pharmacy — UW’s first ever.
The facility will employ over 600 clinical and nonclinical staff.
