Approximately 90 to 150 UW Health patients are expected to participate in a clinical trial of an antibody drug to treat COVID-19, according to a Wisconsin State Journalreport.
The developer of the drug, New York-based Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, was just awarded $450 million to manufacture the drug in addition to $160 million to develop the clinical trials.
Patients in the trials will include people with the infection and people who don’t have it but live with someone who recently became infected.
