UW Health announced a sports partnership in September, and now it will be the official jersey patch sponsor of four University of Wisconsin–Madison women’s athletic programs.
The UW Health logo will appear on competition uniforms for basketball, volleyball, hockey and softball.
“We are incredibly proud to have UW Health, a trusted and longtime partner, as the Badgers’ first jersey patch sponsor,” Chris McIntosh, director of athletics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, said in a statement. “Women’s sports have a powerful and storied legacy at Wisconsin, and UW Health’s landmark commitment sends a clear message about their support for our student‑athletes and the future we are building together for Wisconsin Athletics.”
As In Business Madison reported in December, local companies are increasingly working with women’s sports teams and athletes to help bolster their brands.
