The UW Health Pleasant T. Rowland Transplant Clinic at University Hospital recently received two national design awards for outstanding renovation of an existing space and use of evidence-based design.
The clinic, designed by Flad Architects’ Madison office and opened in September 2022, earned the top prize as Gold Winner of the Healthcare Design 14th annual Remodel/Renovation Competition. In addition, the Center for Health Design has honored the clinic with the Silver Touchstone Award. Both awards will be presented at the annual Healthcare Design Conference on Nov. 6 in New Orleans.
Flad Architects worked with UW Health to design the new transplant clinic at University Hospital as well as a new hospital entry and supporting spaces. The renovation consolidated a full spectrum of patient services in one location.
