Patients of UW Health can now get prescriptions delivered the day after they order them, if they live in Dane County.

Delivery is free and is an improvement over prescription delivery that took several days before.

UW Health has delivered prescriptions since 2012.

“We are trying to make this as convenient as possible for patients, by meeting them where they are,” Aaron Webb, director of ambulatory care pharmacy services at UW Health, said in a statement.

UW Health used USPS or UPS in the past for prescription delivery before contracting Courier Express. UW Health is Courier’s only client, and prescriptions are filled and processed in one location.

In the last six months, UW Health and Courier delivered around 100,000 prescriptions next day
